Hello Everyone,
We wanted to introduce ourselves to all the parents of Mr. Pereira's 2nd grade class and let you know that we are going to be the room parents. We are helping Mr. Pereira plan a lot of exciting things for the year ahead. We will contact you before each event looking for volunteers and/or help with supplies, treats, crafts, etc. We’d love to tap into your ideas and your assistance so please do not hesitate to e-mail us with any suggestions that you may have.
Here are some of the activities we have planned!
Build Scarecrow
We’ll need two parent volunteers.
Apple Pie Baking-Monday, November 5th
We’ll need 4-8 parent volunteers to help make pies from scratch (no pre-made crusts!) in the classroom in the morning, then bring home and bake and bring back to school in the afternoon. **More details to follow in a separate e-mail!!!
Thanksgiving Feast-Wednesday, November 21st
We will email a sign-up for food-no parent volunteers needed
Candy Houses
We’ll need 8 parent volunteers
We’ll also have candy donation sign-ups at parent/teacher conferences!

If anyone has any special talents or something to share during the year, they are welcome! Mr. Pereira is very flexible and loves having parents (and grandparents) participate in the classroom. We look forward to working with Mr. Pereira to help make this a fun year!
